Privacy policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy explains what information ResumePort (“we”, operated by ResumePort) collects when you use the service, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain language.
What we collect
- Account details: your e-mail address, username and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
- Portfolio content: everything you add to your portfolio, such as your name, headline, bio, projects, experience, skills, certifications, links, photos, gallery images and resume.
- Password-reset codes: when you request a reset we e-mail you a one-time code. We store only a hashed copy, and it expires after a few minutes.
- Technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) used to keep the service secure and working.
What is public
New portfolios start as private drafts that only you can see. When you choose to publish, the content of your portfolio page becomes visible to anyone who has the link and may be indexed by search engines. Your e-mail address is never shown unless you add it as a public contact address. You can make your portfolio private again at any time.
How we use your information
- To provide the service: show your dashboard and publish your portfolio page.
- To keep your account secure, including password resets and protection against abuse.
- To respond when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: one to keep you signed in and one that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Some portfolio themes load fonts from Google Fonts, and embedded videos are loaded from their providers (YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, Vimeo or Loom) when a visitor views them.
Third parties
- Hosting and database providers store the service's data on our behalf.
- E-mail delivery: an SMTP provider sends password-reset e-mails.
- GitHub: only if you use “Import from GitHub”, we request public information about the GitHub account you enter.
- Link previews: when you add a project link, our server visits that public page to read its title, description and preview image.
How long we keep data
We keep your account and portfolio while your account exists. Uploaded files you remove are deleted from our storage. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.
Your rights
You can view and edit your information at any time in your dashboard. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and all its content by writing to support@resumeport.in. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data-protection law.
Security
Connections are encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed, uploads are checked before they're stored, and sign-in and reset attempts are rate-limited.
Children
The service is not intended for children under 16.
Changes
If we make significant changes we will update this page and the date above.
